Thriving Together: A Springboard for Equitable Recovery and Resilience in Communities Across America
Thriving Together: A Springboard for Equitable Recovery & Resilience in Communities Across America is a joint project of the CDC Foundation and Well Being Trust, coordinated with Community Initiatives and ReThink Health. Over eight weeks (May through June 2020), amidst unprecedented upheavals across the country and around the world, more than 100 people and organizations diverted their daily work to help craft the Springboard. Throughout its development, a diverse set of resources, tools, stories, perspectives, policies, and guides were identified as useful in moving towards the goal of equitable well-being. This curated set of content is catalogued here as a library. We encourage you to explore the resources below.
The Springboard acknowledges that we are struggling and suffering through profound losses and ghastly experiences of systemic racism. Our resilience and humanity are being tested, yet we have the power to change course together. Communities across the country have an immense reservoir of energy, courage, and imagination. The Springboard was created for action to leverage the immense resilience in America's communities and is designed to help us open a new chapter in America's quest for well-being and justice. Our best hope for changing course is to organize local and national action around a single, unifying, measurable expectation: All people and places thriving‚ no exceptions.
