This article explores three critical themes of Indigenizing educational programs: partnering with the community, cultural relevance, and faculty development. The need for institutional administrators to partner with Indigenous Elders and community members to facilitate relationships is required to provide the knowledge necessary to bring about change within educational programs and the need to do so through a “two-eyed seeing” approach. Through such an approach, nursing curricula can be designed to be culturally safe and relevant for Indigenous and non-Indigenous learners, and faculty can be supported in their growth and development of Indigenous knowledge.
