Place as a Social Determinant of Health: Narratives of Trauma and Homeland Among Palestinian Women

This article explores women's experiences in Palestine, drawing on focus group data and critical place inquiry. It examines identity, sovereignty, freedom of movement, possession, dispossession, and continuity of place. The findings reveal women's resistance strategies and call for greater attention to place in social work practice, education, and research.
