Contributing Writer: Jessica Wong
Jessica has been a Contributor to Community Commons since 2018, sharing her expertise in community health education, healthy aging, and public health data. She is most passionate about exploring how the fabric of well-being is woven together from an array of health, mental health, social, and environmental factors.
Jessica joined the Community Commons/IP3 team in 2018 as an undergraduate student intern. Currently, she serves as a Project Specialist for the Institute of People, Place and Possibility (IP3)—steward of Community Commons, where she writes website content, maintains Community Common’s underlying database, and supports major projects, including 100 Million Healthier Lives Change Library, Advancing Equitable Economies Library, and the Public Health and Equity Resource Navigator. In addition to her work on Community Commons, Jessica supports the IP3 | Assess data and product teams. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Portland State University.
Jessica resides in Portland, Oregon, where she enjoys reading, arts and crafts, and walking outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She recently spent time abroad in Japan living her dream, exploring parks, connecting with the local community, and enjoying Japanese cuisine.
