Staff Contributor: Liz Fry


Liz has been a Contributing Writer for Community Commons since 2022, sharing her expertise in public health and public policy. She is most passionate about the pursuit of health equity and health justice for all people.


Liz joined the Institute for People, Place, and Possibility (IP3) team in 2022 after working on the Public Health and Equity Resource Navigator (PHERN) as an intern with the Alliance for Disease Prevention and Response at the American Public Health Association. She serves as the Communications and Curation Coordinator, where most of her work supports Community Commons. Liz writes website content, manages the social media presence, and continues to support PHERN promotion, as well as new content. In addition to communications work, Liz works closely with the IP3 InfoHub team to maintain Community Commons’ underlying database. Liz holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from The Ohio State University.


Liz resides in Hudson, Ohio, where she enjoys spending time with her nieces and her dog, Wilson. She is a huge trivia buff and hopes to one day appear on Jeopardy.
