This video is part of a series that the EPA created to commemorate 20 years of work on environmental justice. The series features federal and local government officials, non-profit leaders, and students, who tell stories about the lessons they have learned over their time working on environmental justice. In this video, Omega Wilson shares his story about fighting for the right to basic amenities with the West End Revitalization Association against horrifying conditions of his community, where people lacked access to safe water, garbage disposal, streetlights, and where sources of water were contaminated with human waste.
