This tool outlines actions that individuals, businesses, and communities can take to reduce the risks and impacts of flooding. The checklist includes a series of questions and recommendations organized into six categories: planning, building, utilities, natural systems, emergency preparedness, and community outreach. The goal of the checklist is to promote flood resilience by encouraging proactive and preventative measures that can be taken before, during, and after a flood event.
