This article details results of a study by Princeton University, involving about 1,200 participants. They compared two main rationales that colleges use to explain why they value efforts to increase campus diversity. The study has clear implications for how universities seeking more racially equitable outcomes might publicly frame their motivations and policies for increasing student diversity.
