Work Environment Factors and Prevention of Opioid-Related Deaths

This journal article focuses on work-related factors as risk factors and opportunities for preventing opioid use and overdose deaths. It explores how prevalence of opioid-related deaths are higher in individuals with heavy physical jobs, more precarious work, and limited health care benefits. This article presents organizational policies that help reduce risk factors, address worker safety and health, improve outcomes, and address workplace barriers.
