Increase Public Funding for HBCUs and Other Minority-Serving Educational Institutions

There are more than 100 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the United States. More than 300,000 students attend or are enrolled at an HBCU. There are other colleges that serve more minority students. These schools provide chances for minority, first-generation, and low-income students to attend college.
