This book focuses on how to improve health and prevent disease in states and communities. The book uses systemic review methods to evaluate population-oriented health interventions for health-related behaviors, chronic and communicable diseases, and social determinants of health such. The chapters are grouped into three broad categories: changing risk behaviors; reducing specific diseases, injuries, and impairments; and methodological background for the book itself.
