Some job applications ask applicants if they have a criminal record. One in four adults has a conviction history. This has made it difficult for them to find jobs. "Ban the box" is fair chance hiring. It stops employers from asking employees for this information. Applicants would not get rejected solely due to their past. This will help employers consider the applicants’ skills.
